Hi, I came across this delegate badge from the 1908 5th Spanish American war encampment in California. On the back it is etched was looks like, WWG Wheaton.

Are there any rosters from these encampment? I have not found much info about this one. Lloyd Wheaton major general is the only Wheaton I can find who served during span am..

That is quite an early USWV reunion badge.  I don't know how many vets were living in California in 1905.  It might be possible to find rosters for the larger cities in local libraries.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that if a 2 star general was going to put his name on a souvenir, he would have employed a professional.  Normally, if you find a name on a reunion badge, it is written on a paper insert that the badge was designed to have.

All in all, you won't find many from earlier years.  The U.S.W.V. amalgamated in 1904.
