jmpmstr Posted January 26, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 26, 2022 Hey gang, I’m in search of opinions on this DSM. I have an opinion but I am also curious what the community thinks; for discussion and spread of knowledge for younger or newer collectors. Like creating data points for era and legitimacy. I’ll hold my thoughts so I don’t prejudice the free flow of discussion Was listed as a WW2 example. I am already aware the brooch is an incorrect replacement…that said let’s voir dire so to speak First images are of the medal in question. The last is a comparison of 2 known good pre war and WW2 pieces (medal in question is far right of picture)

Fromthepastcollections Posted August 1, 2022 Share #3 Posted August 1, 2022 I think this one is legitimate, and my biggest reason why is due to the planchettes beveled edge. Fakes/Reproductions/modern strikes would have a flat rim
