Greeting,

Just picked up this type 1 helmet cover. Interested to know what you guys think as to whether it is real or repro.

Thank you in advance.

Looks good so far. In fairly good shape as well, but not unheard of for a 1st pattern.

Can you share a photo of the stitch down the center of the beach side? Should be chain stitching.

MasomK,

Thanks for your message. Attached is the picture. I'm not sure if this is chain stitching.

I did check it under a UV light and it doesn't glow.

Thanks

Thanks guys?  Just curious what these are worth these days?

This is my second Wwii usmc cover and first one in decent shape. Hard to believe in 30 years of collecting, never found one, and found both in the last month or so. Funny the way that happens.

I'm very happy to finally be able to dress up a known USMC lid.

Thanks again

It's a $500 + cover if it doesn't have EGA's added to it which it doesn't look like it does.

I've been looking for one for years to finish my Korean War display and whenever good ones pop up for sale they sell for more than that (on ebay)

Justin,

Thank you for your input. Wow! I had no idea they had that kind of value.

No EGA on this one.

I hope you find one for your display.

Thanks
