Help identify "Hard and Fast" DI Crests

Hello gentlemen. I'm just starting to collect DI Crests and recently found these two "Hard and Fast" DIs which were among my late father's possessions. During WWII he served in the AAC 2008th Ordinance Maintenance Co. After the war my older brother mentioned that he was in the National Guard, but I don't know anything about those years of service.

 

I've searched the internet and only found one other image of these. As you can see the image I found identifies these as being from the 175th Tank Bm (?) / 173rd ACR Armor Cavalry Regt PB (?). Using that description on the image as a starting point I have been unable to dig up anything on these. I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on these for me. Thanks in advance.
