Army Surplus in New Orleans Area and South Louisiana

Generally, New Orleans and South Louisiana are not very good places to find military surplus or militaria. The very few surplus stores are heavy on imitation surplus and outdoor gear. Your best chance of finding anything decent is shopping in flea markets.

 

I have found a handful of decent items in South Louisiana over the years.  My best find was in a thrift store in Abbeville, LA., and  it was an original German M-16, duckbill, with a camo paint job. My hands were shaking when I picked it up!
