Master Sgt Merle M Carr enlisted 8/17/39 - 11/6/45. Pre-War he was on the USS Texas. During the War He served with the 1st Marine Div at Guadalcanal and Cape Gloucester. Then with the 5th Marine Division at Iwo Jima. He recorded his career and everywhere he went on this empty wine bottle with functional dice on the stopper.
