Help with Meyer 8th Air Bombardment Group pin - Mickey Mouse dropping bombs

Helping someone with this . . . 

 

My cousin who was a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army passed away last month. 
I found an insignia pin of Mickey Mouse holding 2 bombs. 

On the back of the pin is Aresta of Hawaii 

 

He attached a note: 8th Air Bombardment Group Supsberry Eng 1943

can you tell me more about this pin?

 

 

I tried finding this insignia online, but so far haven't turned anything up, so I thought I'd ask for some help myself! Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

ARESTA HAWAII - Not originals (nor approved insignia, often referred to as fantasy pieces), 'made for collectors'.  Someone attached that to a Meyer card.
