GOAmules Posted January 10, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2022 I found this among a bunch of brass lamps at a first responders rummage sale this weekend. Ten bucks. Why do I believe it can be posted in USmilitaria? Because it commemorates the first AEF self-led battle, which was a great success. And let to the Argonne, which ended the war. The Cross of Lorraine was used by the 79th Div after the war, so some cross-commemoration going on. Many units remained in France through 1919, and surely bought these types of things as they toured the battlefields and visited the towns nearby. And it ended up in America, some doughboy brought it home.
