I picked this up yesterday and later this week I will be getting another guidon flag that belonged to the same veteran. I thought it was unique because it is made out of canvas (same material field gear bags are made from).  The back has canvas sewn on so a pole can be slid through. I will also be getting the guidon flag pole with the spear head next week too.

I was trying to research this unit. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to VN. Does anyone know any information about this unit?  I thought it was a supply company and based on the design USMC?

I appreciate all the help in advance and I hope you alp enjoy this!

The two tic marks at the top of the symbol indicate a battalion but I didn't have any luck finding the unit.  The symbol itself is shaped like a cavalry guidon but it's not the standard symbol for cavalry (at least not the modern one).
