crassou54 Posted November 27, 2021 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2021 Hello all. Am French collector of U.S Vietnam war militaria ( and all era 1890 to 1916), i know the reproduction touch all areas of the collection , but , as i suspected, the "mitchell" cover are now made white a realistic contrat stamp and can be misleading . I didn't have any on and , but it looks "dangerous, recently seen on eBay.
Justin Posted November 27, 2021 Share #2 Posted November 27, 2021 These have been around for awhile, the stamp has definitely improved but these reproduction covers are easy to spot for experienced collectors. Unfortunately I have seen a few brand new reproductions being sold as "mint unissued NOS" and have sold for good money. If anything I am glad they're out because now reenactors and airsofters can write Born to Kill on a reproduction vs an original cover.
