USMC_COLLECTOR Posted November 4, 2021 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2021 Hey guys, I'm putting together a list of Uniforms to buy from WWI to Desert Storm. I am doing a focus on USMC and just including the Army uniforms as well. I keep stumbling onto this brand, Combat Serviceable. I just want to know if it is any good before I make an investment on it. Also Mil-Tech, but I am skeptical of this brand because it looks parallel to Rothco. Any help appreciated, Thanks Here is the link to Combat Serviceable's page on sofmilitary.co.uk https://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/combat-serviceable.html?era=1358
RayRay Posted November 5, 2021 Share #2 Posted November 5, 2021 Miltec is similar to rothco. They are based in Germany and make repro uniforms and tactical gear. I have a few items by them. Not bad but AtTheFront is better and similarly priced.
Lancer127 Posted November 25, 2021 Share #3 Posted November 25, 2021 Hey USMC Collector, Mil-Tec is actually owned by Sturm USA and on their About Us page, their self described focus is primarily on European surplus and tactical gear. Personally I don’t think the quality stands up to the reproductions of What Price Glory, but I did purchase a Sturm/ Mil-Tec M1943 jacket from At the Front a few years ago, and it’s aged well with time. In my opinion, coloration and attention to detail is an issue with these kind of vendors, though. The prices from Combat Servicable seem fair, but I would just think that you’d be better off buying gear from WPG.
