ROTC Ranger Patch: Drexel Institute of Technology (Drexel University)

I'm guessing an ROTC Ranger patch.  Anyone know what DIT stands for?

There is a Delaware Institute of Technology.  I have no idea if they ever had an ROTC program.  A lot of the smaller programs have been shut down or consolidated with larger schools.

Drexel Institute of Technology.  This patch dates from before 1970 when the school was changed to Drexel University.

Drexel!  Of course!  Drexel is located in Philadelphia.  My local Penn State campus was DelCo (short for Delaware County) in nearby Media PA, and our ROTC unit used to scrimmage against theirs with weekend exercises. Widener University, which was the former Pennsylvania Military Academy, was another one that we trained with. My detatchment has since been closed down, but both Widner's and Drexel's ROTC unit are still up and running.
