The barrel should have an H.S. on the link lug (High Standard). View looking down at slide should have a P proof stamp. The Barrel Bushing should have concentric rings from machining. Pep is correct this has a M1911 mainspring housing not an M1911A1. It should have a smaller checkered A1 housing but other than that it looks correct to me. The book I have states all USS production used a TYPE 3 arched main spring housing with course checkering having 32 diamonds ( + / - 1 ) on center row Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
