Hello

this small pouch came with a ww2 era brass compass.  Is this a compass pouch or something else just repurposed.  I do not have a picture of the compass..

thank you

Hi,

When the M13 pouch for the .30 Cal machine gun is found in unissued condition there are generally one possibly two of the type of pouch that you have inside the internal pockets, they are for small parts, screw, springs etc.

This used example doesn't contain any of the small pouches.

There are no small pockets inside.  It also does not open up other than the top flap.

.

Your small pouch that only opens at the top fits into the pockets in the Spare Parts Roll I showed in post #5

Hi.

The official nomenclature / designation of your pouch is ' Envelope #5559696 ' and fits in pocket 5 of the ' Spare Parts Roll M13 '  as seen in the attached photo, as you surmised in your first post it had been re-purposed by someone.
