Were these two medals awarded to the same individual?

Hi, rmoff here, I have two medals that came out of a mount of 7 medals. If these two medals were awarded to the same individual, I will tell you about the other 5.

The first is a Spanish  War service medal the edge is stamped23830 The second is a Mexican Border service medal the edge is stamped 33295. I hope some one can help.

Spanish War Service Medal rolls only go up to #16650 - Mex Border 33295 was issued to Lawrence H.P. Finnogan for service with Company A 5th Massachusetts Infantry

There looks like a misspelling of his name in the rolls - should be Finnigan

Bill, thank you so much for the info. In that same mount there is a China Relief Expedition medal edge stamped No 1380 .,  1899 Philippine Insurrection medal edge stamped 26985,, 1899 Philippine Insurrection/ for Patriotism, Fortitude and Loyalty medal edge  No 6456 Can you tell if any of these were awarded to Finnigan?

Boxer No. 1380 is not listed in the rolls - If the Philippine does not have No. in front of the number it is not traceable - Philippine Congressional No. 6456 is not traceable (number is too high for rolls) - Finnigan was born in 1894 so he would have been 5 or 6 during the Spanish American War - So I think this was a "put together" group (stolen valor?)

Bill I am sure you are right, and thanks again. The mount is just a part of a large military collection that I am handling . There are hundreds of patches and unit ID pins.
