Raidercollector Posted October 23, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2021 Here is a Rare Historic Uniform from a Marine 1st Sgt to john N Krell, who was on the USS California during the attack from the Japanese on Dec 7th 1941. He ended up jumping off the ship during the attack and swam to shore. The uniform is a latter kaki Vandergrift style dated around 1945 to 1946. The pants are dated 1944. Shirt can not see any date. The jacket is named to him in 2 places . One in the collar which is hard to read and the other inside of right side. The stripes where in the pocket. I had them resewn on. I added the ribbons. Everything else is original. These came from his estate. I wish I could find more info on him.
