M-3 Flak Helmet

Appears to be unissued with head band adjustment instructions.

Is it typical to have no markings or covered by flocking? Any red flags? Only ask because I've never owned a helmet this nice.

Thanks, Paul

Very nice helmet, I have one just like it as well.  Bought mine at the MAX show, probably in the late 1990's.  A dealer had a crate full of them, unissued with the instruction sheet for $50 each.  Glad I bought the one I did but too bad I did not have the insight to buy more.

Back in the 90's and even until 2005 or so, there was very little interest in Flak helmets. I used to get these for $25 to $35 and sell then for $75. However, interest in them has grown in these and now I wish I had a bunch of these. Little fun fact, some of these M-3's were used by armored units during the Korean War.
