MasonK Posted October 18, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 18, 2021 Hi All, Received this as part of a grouping, and don't believe it belonged to the vet. Vet was an Officer who served with the 501st PIR during WWII, and counter intelligence during Korea. Pretty sure the seller through it in (he's a picker), and likely found it at another cleanout. In any case, it's a nice fixed loop (696A) with a Firestone liner. Back of the shell has an Officer follow-me stripe. Liner appears to have had an EM Army isignia attached to it at some point. Additionally, a kid named Scott must've used it to play war at some point (trying to confirm if the vet had a son or grandson named Scott). In any case, thoughts on the follow-me stripe? It's made from medical tape, which is not unheard of, and is very off center. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, and figured that was the case. Appreciate the kind words! Always a great feeling to add another WWII era lid to the collection.
