eyedogtor Posted October 16, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2021 This is a very nice grouping from a B17 crewmember, Wayne Brubaker, who was in the 398th Bomb Group (8th Air Force), 600 bomb squadron. There is a ton written about him online, and I found a history of the 600th - he and his crew flew on Jun 3rd, 1944 in preparation for DDAY, and also Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge, and at the end of the war flew prisoners back from Germany to France. In the crew photo, he is in the first row all the way to the right. Included his original worn Chenille patch, as well as a pic of him wearing his flight jacket with the patch, a Christmas card, and a commendation letter. I've never seen a 600th Squadron Chenille patch anywhere before - so I was really excited to find one with such a history! Pat
