Bluehawk Posted October 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 15, 2021 I am trying to discover what the AFSC was for this airman, A3C Jerome Overton, who died of non-hostile causes in 1968 while stationed at Phan Rang, to help complete his remembrance online. What I cannot figure out, having done some research about it, is, what exactly did a "Services Squadron" typically do in country? https://airforce.togetherweserved.com/usaf/servlet/tws.webapp.WebApp?cmd=Profile&type=Person&ID=81176 Any memories or guidance for him would be greatly appreciated. I've done all the research I can from public sources. The fact that he had a hernia which sent him to sick bay, suggests that maybe his AFSC had something to do with heavy loading? A cook? I just don't know enough about what a Services Squadron typically did. Thank you
