Manchu Warrior Posted October 14, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2021 I recently picked up a pile of WWI era photos. To include five of an unidentified US Army Major General. I can clearly see his rank on his shoulders in the photo with the two other officers. I believe the photos were taken in France and one of them has May 1918 written on the back and nothing else to ID them. There was also another photo that I hope someone can ID. I believe they are British and French officers and any help is appreciated. Thanks!

hist3891 Posted October 16, 2021 Share #3 Posted October 16, 2021 Could it be Edward M. Lewis (30th Division commander)?

hist3891 Posted October 18, 2021 Share #5 Posted October 18, 2021 Hi, No problem. They're definitely similar, but I am not 100% certain. I would definitely be curious if anyone else can propose a possible ID. -hist3891
