I recently picked up a pile of WWI era photos. To include five of an unidentified US Army Major General. I can clearly see his rank on his shoulders in the photo with the two other officers.  I believe the photos were taken in France and one of them has May 1918 written on the back and nothing else to ID them. There was also another photo that I hope someone can ID. I believe they are British and French officers and any help is appreciated.   Thanks!

Could it be Edward M. Lewis (30th Division commander)?

Here they are for comparison so what do you think?  I also appreciate your help.  Thanks!

Hi,

No problem.  They're definitely similar, but I am not 100% certain.  I would definitely be curious if anyone else can propose a possible ID.
