Picked this up yesterday and haven't been able to find another example. Any idea what DSP stands for on the bottom, or the 6/60 in the middle?

Thanks,

Could it be 6th Bn 60th Air Defense Artillery and Defense Standardisation Programm? I think the unit served in Germany during cold war.

That sounds like a perfectly logical explanation. Thanks for your input, I will focus my research efforts in that direction 🙂

DSP apparently was some form of data processing.

"* AN/MPQ-62 (Phase III)Some changes to the signal processing allow the radar to determine the targets' range and speed in a single scan. A digital DSP system is added which allows a lot of the processing work to be done on the radar directly and forwarded directly via a serial digital link to the PCP/BCP."

 PCP: Platoon Command Post

BCP:  perhaps Battery Command Post?

I later found it referred to as part of the Defense Support Program, which integrated data that detected missile launches.

There are other references to the DSP being a physical building, probably where this data was received and analyzed.
