Solution Siamundo Posted October 10, 2021 Solution #1 Posted October 10, 2021 Greetings. I am hoping that someone with more ribbon bar and order of precedence experience might be able to answer a quick question. This looks like a nice honest more recent Air Force ribbon bar but I notice one of the ribbons is actually on the bar twice and was wondering why, and if legitimate, what are the criteria involved for something like this. The Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Ribbon holds the place on the 4th row and also the first place on the 5th row, although the ribbon on the 5th row has the little metal frame around it. What does this mean?
Bruce Linz Posted October 10, 2021 #2 Posted October 10, 2021 No, a gold frame is not authorized for the GOWT Expeditionary Medal. However, a gold frame is authorized for the Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon. The two ribbons look very similar.
