1st Marine Division helmet

I’m trying to put together a helmet to represent my grand uncle on Guadalcanal and Cape Gloucester. I was wondering if some marines would do stuff to mark their helmet liners with their custom named ink stamps. I believe I’ve seen that done on other helmet liners, but I’m not sure I’ve seen it for marines. I know some marines would mark pretty much every piece of equipment with their name. So I’m wondering if anyone has any examples of this for 1st pattern hawley  liners since that’s what he would’ve had
