K98 rifle bring back from Nam.

I wrote to the Major recently and was pleasantly surprised to receive this letter today!

Recently picked up this picture off eBay of the Major when he was a young LT.

This is really wonderful.  In college, a retired Col Morrison knew of my collecting interest.  He said he had brought home a K98 from Vietnam.   
 

This would have been about 1985.  He wasn’t interested in parting with it.   He was a WWII vet that served through to 1968. 
 

Wonder where it is now??
