Panzerfaust Posted September 30, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 30, 2021 I picked up these 2 Web M1 Garand Slings Dated 1942 & 1944, so I think they are. Is the 1944 dated one complete? Is the 1942 dated sling for a M1 Garand? Many thanks for your help.

Panzerfaust Posted September 30, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted September 30, 2021 Hello Doyler, Thank you! I guess the 1944 is a model was manufactured without as much webbing and newer type of hardware.
Rhscott Posted October 2, 2021 Share #4 Posted October 2, 2021 All US slings were interchangeable with all issued US rifles (exception is the short versions of the Kerr sling for the M1 Thompson). The 1923 sling was just a fabric version of the M1907 leather sling but seemed to confound Soldiers on how to use it or put it on a weapon and overall was too costly and complicated resulting in the adoption of the simple and cheap M1. Simple and cheap was the guide to a lot of US production in 1942-45.
