Flashlarue Posted September 24, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 24, 2021 These are W.L. U.S. marked M1918 Calvary spurs. I found them at Goodwill cheap so they followed me home. I know as a general rule collectable metal antiques should have the natural patina left but would Calvary spurs follow this rule? As you can see the spurs are quite tarnished and I know they would shine like a new penny with very little effort. So clean and shine or leave them tarnished? Bodes Posted September 24, 2021 Share #2 Posted September 24, 2021 I'd say it's a personal choice, but I'd leave them as you found them....Bodes
RDUNE Posted September 24, 2021 Share #3 Posted September 24, 2021 I think they look great just how they are, if they were mine I'd leave them. -Ryan
Ronnie Posted September 26, 2021 Share #4 Posted September 26, 2021 Strap them on a pair of boots to really show them off.
