Blacksmith Posted September 12, 2021 Share #4 Posted September 12, 2021 You are welcome - sorta hard to tell with the broaches on the drape, but the “GI” maker-marked ones started in the 1960s, with the 1/2” hardware. Then in the ‘90s, they went to the narrower 3/8”, by my understanding. So, if you measure yours, and it’s 1/2”, it could be as early as Vietnam. ge999 Posted December 10, 2021 Share #5 Posted December 10, 2021 Graco medals with the Graco-gi hallmark are the earlier ones. Their manufacture date is roughly 1981-1993, ones marked G27 are 1991 and onwards. As far as modern ones go I’ve always liked their medals much more than other manufacturers, their strikes always seem nicer and the metal colors closer to original ones (not overly glossy like others can be).
