Checkermann1 Posted September 11, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 11, 2021 Hi there, what do you think of this M1 helmet, is it original and from ww2? What do you think about that?
elh1311 Posted September 11, 2021 Share #2 Posted September 11, 2021 Front seam, low heat stamp, looks good for whatever my opinion is worth. Probably a fixed bail at one time. The bales look odd for some reason, maybe it's the angle of the pics.
Paddyd00 Posted September 12, 2021 Share #3 Posted September 12, 2021 Looks like a Good WWII M1 w original cork paint. Refurb at some time w the low lot # and the Swivels (Prob would of had Fixed Loops as elh1311 says above) ... Also has the T1 connector instead of a J Hook on the Helmet Chinstrap indicating Late WWII or Post War Use Z •• And a late war Adjustable Nape Strap in the Liner
Burning Hazard Posted September 12, 2021 Share #4 Posted September 12, 2021 Yes, that's a nice all original WWII production late war M1 Helmet set - original factory cork to boot too. Pat
CavalryCombatant Posted September 13, 2021 Share #5 Posted September 13, 2021 Good looking lid, exactly what I’d want to see. Interesting to see the bail’s being mixed - one stainless steel and one manganese.
