iron bender Posted September 11, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 11, 2021 My bro and I would get hauled all over the south, and luckily a few times up north by dad to see Civil War battlefields in the late 70's through mid 80's. The Red River Campaign, and Vicksburg, Champion Hill, Big Black River, Raymond were big stops every time. Lots of stops to USS Cairo to watch progress. This is the model we bought at least several times. They were sold through the museum I believe at the Vicksburg battlefield. I found this one in my dad's garage several years back. Still in it's box, shipping label to my bro with an '84 USPS stamp. Wonder if they still sell these? Should I build it or let it sit as a memory of the good ole days? cutiger83 Posted September 13, 2021 Share #2 Posted September 13, 2021 Put it together! The older I get the less I believe things need to stay in boxes. ..Kat
