all-bull Posted February 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 9, 2009 Hello, I am not too keen on wings, especially with Naval wings. Can anyone tell me the age of these, and where it was made? I know its ratty, but I just found it while cleaning up, and wanted to learn more about it. Any help would be great. THANKS!!
bobgee Posted February 9, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 9, 2009 Howdy - The cheesecloth backing suggests mid to late 30's to early WWII . I assume it's on wool. Bob
KASTAUFFER Posted February 9, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2009 I would agree with Bob. The green backgound wings I have seen on uniforms tend to date from the late 1930's to early WWII. The ones used in early WWII were propbably made in the 30's anyway! This is based on the wing color, not the backing. Kurt
