Michael is a good friend of mine, we served together with 1/9 and as instructors at Parris Island.  He was a great leader, brave, strong, disciplined, principled and a fine, fun human being, husband and father.  Along with being the epitome of a Marine SNCO, he was a sterling member of the NYPD.  When ever you got the opportunity to just hang out with Mike it was a joy.  His enthusiasm I’m for life was contagious. He has been gone for 20 years and I still miss him.
