mmerc20 Posted September 10, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2021 No. It’s not military related but I needed to share this. I don’t make completely scratch built models so this was a first but it needed to be done. The dumpster is made of balsa and painted with graffiti by me. The trash bags and pallet were made from scratch. I also have a scratch made gas can (for adding fuel to the fire) that isn’t shown. The “smoke” is pillow stuffing and I have a flickering red light inside to give it a little more realism. Mike

mmerc20 Posted September 10, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted September 10, 2021 A better view of the pallet I made and the gas can that i carved out of a piece of wood. The neck is a small aluminum tube.

iron bender Posted September 11, 2021 Share #7 Posted September 11, 2021 Your 48" skid (pallet) reminds me of all the 'new' pallets I buy for my shop. They've always got broken corners or slats. Nice build

Story Posted November 12, 2021 Share #10 Posted November 12, 2021 I can assure you, this is military in nature. While at the [REDACTED] Navy Base in 2005, I watched the post fire department responded to a dumpster fire (there were some very bored troops rotating off the base). The engine took the looooooooooooooooooong way to the fire location, because they were terminally bored and they wanted the dumpster to be fully engaged by the time they got there - "for training purposes". The Joes cheered the fire crew when they showed (finally) up and gave helpful advice.
