Help IDing Metal Plane Model

Hi,

it´s hard to say as it looks to be a bit of a mix, as it has no obvious gun turrets, the fuselage and vertical stabilizer looks a bit like a civilian version of the RAF Short Sunderland called the Sandringham. The front looks a little like a Boeing Clipper but has no ´wings´on the lower fuselage and only one vertical stabilizer. So I´d go with a stylized model of a Sunderland/Sandringham.

As for the age of the model, it might be made during 1940s/50s or right up until now, there´s no real way to tell as I´ve seen alloy aircraft models and lamps with alloy aircraft on them made and sold pretty recently..

It looks a bit rough for someone to make it for themselves or a gift (the rough props for example), is there anything written on the base of the stand?

Very unusual construction.

I lean more towards post 1980s.

After seeing the underside I´d agree, most likely made in India, a lot of aluminium retro items are made there.
