I can't find a record of Congleton being awarded the Bronze Star but my research so far has been pretty limited.  The laundry number isn't him but it may be for Alphonse Mancini, Laddie Mayer or Jesse Milam.  All were awarded the Bronze and Mancini also has the Silver Star.  That came from a 65th Div roster so who knows what other units may show.  They were attached a lot.

I'd say its definitely him.  He passed away in 1988 and is buried in Alabama.  It looks like he was originally from New Jersey and without spending too much time researching it I don't know when he would've located to Alabama.
