Flightpath Posted September 7, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2021 Hi, I was very happy to pick up this well worn Grumman Avenger Pilot´s handbook for the TBF-1 & TBM-1 torpedo bomber, it goes well with my Dauntless dive bomber and Wildcat fighter pilot´s handbooks, these handbooks were kept in a box in the cockpit........ now I just need an F6F Hellcat handbook. cagedfalcon Posted September 7, 2021 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2021 Don't forget to Curtiss SB2C Helldiver. Interesting manuals.

cagedfalcon Posted September 8, 2021 Share #4 Posted September 8, 2021 I really like the Helldiver, found & sold lower cowling last year for a healthy profit.
Flightpath Posted September 8, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted September 8, 2021 Nice Helldiver find, you must have made someone´s day! I´m a big fan of the Dauntless, just a lovely shape, I think it was my first plastic model aircraft kit around 55 years ago!

Thanks Jerry, my budget gets in the way a bit, I nearly bought a Kingfisher pilot´s handbook a couple of weeks ago but it was $175 and just couldn´t justify it. Here´s my 3 WW2 handbooks..... jerry_k Posted September 8, 2021 Share #9 Posted September 8, 2021 These books are pricey from what I noticed. 175 is not bad anyway. Great collection! Would be nice to have a F6F handbook for my display :) Take care, Jerry

B24AT6 Posted September 29, 2021 Share #11 Posted September 29, 2021 Love the Dauntless and Wildcat manuals! I collect pilot’s manuals and it is so much harder to find anything for the USN carrier planes vs the USAAF planes. I’ve got one from almost every major USAAF plane and a number of the USN multi-engines, but only these for the carrier planes:
Flightpath Posted October 21, 2021 Author Share #12 Posted October 21, 2021 I offered a nice 1940 Kingfisher pilot´s handbook by a member here, it arrived a few days ago, the Kingfisher is one of my favorite naval aircraft, they look great on floats, but they look a bit odd when land based!
