The armor has a different slope to it than the photo you have posted. The chassis is more like a Sherman. Could it be another type of tank destroyer?

Yes you're are quite right, I forgot the nomenclature of this one if there was one, it this casr it used the hull of the M4 Medioum Sherman Tank, but it still was  a M36 Jackson.

It was called the M36B1.

Persian Gulf Command

That Sherman "Jumbo" model is great!   Here is a photo of one of only a few that have survived.  Its in the American Heritage Museum in Stow, Massachusetts:
