This is very sad news, indeed. I've joined this Forum too late to have been able to interact with Ian but I always enjoy reading the threads he started or where he participated and especially his sense of humor. Rest in peace, Ian

I am very saddened by this news.

 

Ian was a friend of mine and we had many cross the pond conversations, the last one was over winter.

 

You always think about giving out a shout to someone and put it off for another day.

 

Sometimes that day never comes.

 

Today is that day.

 

I think of you often my friend and wish we had more time.

Wow. He was always so helpful with questions and info on flying items here and on other forums.

Growing older with others is getting tough. You guys need to stop this!

I am so very sorry to hear this, I enjoyed his posts on the forum greatly and already missed him for a few years on here... My condolences to his family and friends :(

when I first joined this forum all those years ago you always showed me kindness, friendship and shared your knowledge gladly with me, I’m deeply saddened by your passing

Very sad and shocked to hear this terrible news.  RIP Ian, may you soar eternal.  Condolences to his family and to all of us who remain but were touched by his kindness and generosity.
