Pep Posted September 4, 2021 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2021 I have wanted one for a while but they always seem so expensive. This one was priced good for me. I had also not seen one marked and dated on the front flap still legible. I think 1914... Really has that been there look.
Pep Posted September 4, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted September 4, 2021 I forgot to ask, what model is this?
Charlie Flick Posted September 12, 2021 Share #3 Posted September 12, 2021 The proper nomenclature for your magazine pouch is "Magazine Pocket, Leather, Double For Pistol Magazines, Model of 1911". Your example has the rimless Eagle snap. Rimmed Eagle snaps were approved in 1913 and were phased in in 1914. Thus, I would say that your pouch was one of the last with the rimless snap feature. It was made at Rock Island Arsenal. Hope that information is helpful to you. Regards, Charlie
