24th_infantry Posted August 30, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2021 I picked this up recently. I thought it was a WWI Massachusetts National Guard revolver expert badge. It has the MA crest in the front. It is pin backed and maker marked. However it is difficult for me to make out the stamp. All I can see is an emblem with an eagle head with the letters "B C" or possibly "D C" and sterling. I tried researching Massachusetts NG marksmanship badges but I cannot find any with the crest. Is this WWI? I hope you all enjoy and thank you for the help in advance! Link to comment
FlyNavy02 Posted August 30, 2021 Share #2 Posted August 30, 2021 Maker is Dieges & Clust of NYC. Sorry I do not recognize the badge. Link to comment
Steve B. Posted August 30, 2021 Share #3 Posted August 30, 2021 D&C should be Dieges & Clust, New York. This looks to me more like a police qualification badge than a military badge. Link to comment
24th_infantry Posted August 31, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted August 31, 2021 Thanks for the info! I will try to do more research based on that. Link to comment
24th_infantry Posted August 31, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted August 31, 2021 So I did some more research. I was completely wrong about the badge being MA. It's actually the NY crest and those screw back pins are the 32nd precinct. Now I am going to try and contact a police/law enforcement museum to find these a good home. Because this is not military related feel free to remove or relocate it to a more appropriate location. Thanks again for all the help! Link to comment
