Howlingriffon Posted August 17, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 17, 2021 Historical Miniatures was a serious hobby of mine. Fell by the way side for the last 20 or so years but am starting to get back into it. here a few from back in the day:

ArtyScout Posted August 17, 2021 Share #4 Posted August 17, 2021 Hey Howlingriffon; Welcome to the forum. I don't mean to hijack your post, but I also built and painted the WWII BAR gunner a while back. Here is my rendition of that piece. You have done a fine job on all these figures. Semper Fi. Dogsbody Posted August 17, 2021 Share #6 Posted August 17, 2021 Excellent. I especially like the M1917 machinegunner. The BAR gunner looks like a Mirage Hobby 200mm figurine.
Howlingriffon Posted August 17, 2021 Author Share #7 Posted August 17, 2021 Thanks all for the kind words. The gunner if I remember correctly 1/12 scale by Corree. Marine is a Series 77, forget the scale. Maybe 90mm. BAR is from Warriors at 1/9 or 1/10. All are oils over mostly Vallejo acrylics. Since I've started dabbling again, it is amazing at the changes in the hobby. So many great manufacturers gone and the explosion of 3D modelled figures. Still not 100% behind those. Something just looks off with most of them.
