I thought I would share this large lot of German bring backs just out of the U.S. veterans estate.  I have had many vet bring backs over the years but this lot is by far the largest & most diverse I have come across.  The U.S. veteran was a Sherman tank crewman with the 3rd Armored Division, he enlisted in 1942 and was discharged in 1945.  As you will see this veteran had made his way into German factories or warehouses as some of the items are multiples & in unissued condition.  All of the spoils shown here with the exception of the tunic, breeches, boots & sword were shipped home in the 10 in 1 ration box you see in the photos.  When his wife received this box she wrote back to him "don't send me nazi stuff send me jewelry".

First photo up is the lot in its entirety, I hope you enjoy.

Heer Cavalry NCO tunic with what I think is the rank of Stabsfeldwebel.  Also included are the riding breeches with suspenders still in place, the German soldiers handkerchief is still in the pocket.

Love the m43 & the vet signed flag!

Neat time capsule of what a young man sends home from war. I wonder if his wife got any jewelry? Excellent find, love the signed flag and the original shipping box!

Wow that’s an incredible grouping! Are you keeping it together hopefully?

Thanks for the positive comments!

Yes, I am keeping the lot together.  The only thing I am going to part with are some of the helmet decals, I don't think I need 200 of them.

What a great bunch of bring backs. You are very fortunate to have come across them. Condition is fantastic. Proof positive that our guys really did bring back everything that wasn't nailed down.
