Fred Borgmann Posted August 12, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 12, 2021 Philippine Congressional Medal or is it? I am not sure as to what the story is here so I will describe it as best I can. This light color bronze medal is on a ribbon with a newer looking broach. The obverse shows a three soldier flag honor guard marching left with the legend “Philippine Insurrection”. So naturally this medal design is called the “Philippine Congressional Medal” The reverse has a more common United States Army design which while correct on the Philippine Campaign medal should not be paired up with the Philippine Congressional design. If this were a coin it could be called a mule or mint error. Could this be a fake made by a really dumb faker?
USMCR79 Posted August 12, 2021 Share #2 Posted August 12, 2021 More likely a mule made in the 1930’s by NS Meyer as a replacement for vets that lost theirs Bill
