cap174 Posted August 1, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 1, 2021 Thought I'd post this here, found when cleaning out my great grandpa's old house. His name was Ralph Charles Gibson Jr. born 1924, he was sent to Culver military school at 6 and by the time the war ended he was a captain in the 125th cavalry reconnaissance squadron (mouthful of a name!). After the war he ended up as a constabulary in southern Germany, Heidelberg to be exact, where he met my great grandma. He didn't bring back much after the war (he also served in Korea) but he did take this home, though it remained hidden in a footlocker for 29 years after he passed. Anyways, hopefully some of you find this cool, I'm certainly chuffed to have it! Bonus: this is written on the back, but no one in my family has any clue what it says or means. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
