bldrhouse Posted July 27, 2021 #1 Posted July 27, 2021 I've just acquired one of these and asking what was worn underneath it? Was it a cloth helmet like the AN-H-15 below, or similar, or was there another hardshell helmet or helmet liner worn underneath? I too frequently do not get notifications from USMF, so please email me at my username at gmail.com to let me know you've replied here. Thanks! My M4A2 and a cloth helmet I am considering to add to the display head MM
72psb Posted July 27, 2021 #2 Posted July 27, 2021 I believe they were donned when over flak filled skies. So whatever was being worn, cloth or leather, that's what would be underneath.
dmar836 Posted July 27, 2021 #3 Posted July 27, 2021 Agreed. No special under wear indicated. In flak filled skies, I would need special underwear but that's a different story.
bldrhouse Posted July 27, 2021 Author #4 Posted July 27, 2021 ok, thanks. I have not received this yet, so could not tell if needed underneath
dmar836 Posted July 28, 2021 #5 Posted July 28, 2021 Yeah, no suspension. Just a smooth inner lining. Best, Dave
The Rooster Posted September 6, 2021 #6 Posted September 6, 2021 I'm guessing it would depend on how cold it would be at altitude? Low level in the Pacific Theater ?... cloth flight helmet. Baseball cap? High altitude something else.
