I had been waiting about a week for this information to arrive. Think I experienced hurried patience.  The documents I had gotten referenced his DFC  - but the rarity of where the DFC was earned during the war against the Japanese. Unfortunately the missions eventually caused his own loss of life. Never have I had the priviledge of acquiring these type of documents concerning the protection of the Aleutian Islands. Yes - The Western Aleutian Islands. These documents reference his life being lost with the GO. A copy of the letter from his employer in Texas describing him. Also written of him being an honorary soldier of Texas. Why I was picked to find this is an honor to him and to the people he volunteered to protect and serve.  Hopefully our group finds this as motivating as it did me..
