AirMechanic Posted July 26, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2021 Does anyone know what this item is? It measures approximately 11.5” in diameter x 3” high. I can’t quite make out the manufacturer’s name but it appears to be Rawley or Sawley Co. and is dated 1942. I believe it may be a cover for something. Does anyone know what it is? Any help is appreciated!
srossio Posted July 26, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2021 I may be wrong but it looks like the shallow collapsable wash basin for washing and shaving. Neat item that is often overlooked when talking about things the GI carried.
phantomfixer Posted July 26, 2021 Share #3 Posted July 26, 2021 could be a wash basin...my first thought was a headlight cover for a CCKW, but no drawstring
AirMechanic Posted July 27, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted July 27, 2021 After comparing others online, it is a wash basin. Thanks for the info!
