Nazi cap eagle inlay on Mauser buttstock

I have this 98K Mauser.  It has a 1930s date on receiver.  I can't tell the manufacture as there is a scope mounted on the receiver.  The gun is all matching and has been tapped and parkerized.  It is a nice example of a war prize adapted to a hunting rifle.  I was most intrigued by the inlaid eagle.  Can anyone identify what branch, rank or uniform it might have come from? IMG_1440.JPG.9bc9fda37259316af7a342e6ece56a23.JPG

The way they are shaped and sometimes what they are made of.

If you do a google search you will find out everything.

These eagles are rather common.
