Randy Posted July 25, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 25, 2021 Alaskan Air Command Yukon Lightning Competition 1986 held at Eielson AFB, AK. Had something to do with A-10 cold weather ops. Other a-10 units participated and all wore a version of this. They may have had them in more than one year, but hard info is scarce on this event. The 343 TFW was the host unit, there never was a such thing as the 343 FW. They went from a TFW to the 343 Wing in 1991. Randy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
