robinb Posted July 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2021 Found today for $8 at an antique store. I added the US and Infantry discs, but what would have been below them? He may have been a staff sergeant but it's hard to tell for sure. "A 0660" laundry mark.
Ray42 Posted July 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2021 Wow that’s a great find, I love the 90th patch. It’s amazing. Hopefully you should be able to research this, my great uncle was with the 90th through the war so I know that many of their units have unit histories published online complete with rosters. It may take a while but if you check the laundry number results with the rosters you could get a match. Unit crests could have been what were under the discs, but without knowing what regiment he was in it is hard to say which one would be right. Old Crow 1986 Posted July 19, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 19, 2021 That is quite the find. More amazing is that is was $8. Terrific bullion CIB and 90 ID patch make for a nice display piece. Good luck with any research. Keep us posted with any updates on a possible original owner.
